Alberto has been farming coffee for 15 years.  In 2008, his first year involved in La Armonia Hermosa, Alberto contributed a third of his harvest.  He was glad to see the market in the states increase so he could contribute his full harvest in 2009.  Most farmers will not become involved until the cooperative can purchase their entire harvest for fear of losing their current buyers. 

His coffee is nearly all Caturri with some Bourbon as well.  He is hoping to experiment with new varietals in the coming years.  Alberto has four sons that help him farm coffee, among many other crops.  Beyond the gracious use of his truck, he will be a key leader for the future of the project in Santa Maria.
